Roovet Data 3: responsive interface, live browse records and contributor documentation

Improve dataset discovery with documented JSON Lines and CSV snapshots, provenance and API examples

Roovet Data exposes entity records in human-readable and machine-readable formats. The record page and the subject identifier serve different purposes.
Roovet Data is a structured knowledge graph connecting people, organizations, books, music, places and concepts. Download a snapshot of its public entity records, retrieve an individual record, or use the API to find specific subjects.

* '''JSON Lines''': one Wikibase item per line. Each item retains its labels, descriptions, aliases, claims, qualifiers, ranks, references and sitelinks, plus its latest public revision identifier and modification time.
* '''CSV directory''': one row per item with its identifier, English label and description, schema type, browse category, record URL, related article URL, revision and modification time. The CSV is an index of records; use JSON Lines or the record page to examine the actual claims and sources.
* [https://data.roovet.com/datasets/manifest.json '''Snapshot manifest''']: record count, revision-based version, modification time, file sizes and SHA-256 checksums.

Records vary in completeness. Some identify a subject and connect it to an article; others include detailed statements. A reference group is not necessarily an independent source. Check the cited source, qualifiers, rank and revision history when assessing a claim. Download availability does not change the rights of cited publications.

Roovet Data is a structured knowledge graph connecting people, organizations, books, music, places and concepts. Download a snapshot of its public entity records, retrieve an individual record, or use the API to find specific subjects.

Download the dataset

617 entity records · Snapshot updated

JSON Lines preserves each record’s statements, qualifiers, ranks and references. CSV is a directory of labels and links, not a replacement for the complete record. Records vary in completeness; a source reference does not by itself establish independent verification.

The snapshot contains the current public item records. It is refreshed every six hours. Recent edits can be retrieved immediately through the individual record exports or the API. Property definitions and entity schemas remain available on their own pages.

What the files contain

  • JSON Lines: one Wikibase item per line. Each item retains its labels, descriptions, aliases, claims, qualifiers, ranks, references and sitelinks, plus its latest public revision identifier and modification time.
  • CSV directory: one row per item with its identifier, English label and description, schema type, browse category, record URL, related article URL, revision and modification time. The CSV is an index of records; use JSON Lines or the record page to examine the actual claims and sources.
  • Snapshot manifest: record count, revision-based version, modification time, file sizes and SHA-256 checksums.

Records vary in completeness. Some identify a subject and connect it to an article; others include detailed statements. A reference group is not necessarily an independent source. Check the cited source, qualifiers, rank and revision history when assessing a claim. Download availability does not change the rights of cited publications.

Stable identifiers

For example, https://data.roovet.com/entity/Q9 identifies the subject. Its human-readable record is Item:Q9. Q and P identifiers are local to Roovet Data; use the full identifier URL when exchanging data across different Wikibase installations.
